In a 1 mile event at Longchamp there was a packed field of juvenile's looking to make their mark.  Restart the Fun sent out Golden Horn who, at odds of 3.5, was the third choice on the board but nosed ahead in the stretch for a sweet victory.  The favored Rubis Shot in the Dark put on a late charge but ended up about a length and a half short at the wire.

The senior division of the racing action at Sport of Kings rarely disappoints.  Here is another example of the depth that is present in the dirt sprinting division.  Black Cat Racing's Lochnell dead heats with One Tenth More from Green as Grass.

Clearly One Tenth more needed just that, one more jump to get past a stubborn foe in Lochnell.  On this day Lochnell surpased $777 in earnings which is an impressive feat for a horse that cost a mere $5.00.  Come try your hand at the unique world of Sport of Kings where every race is free to enter.

Sporting the lowest weight in the field, Gandulf gave everything he had to hold off a big charge from the big grey Distinctive Passion and pick up his seventh lifetime win.

The Kings Stand Stakes was every bit as exciting as anticipated and Nemesis Stud's horse did just enough to find the winners circle over some power house horses.  The turf sprint division at the highest level of handicaps is sure to be thrilling for some time to come.

Juvenile Championships: Week 1

With the first round of championships qualifiers in the rear view mirror we can now highlight those that put in stand out performances.

Perfect Execution was a strong favorite and a big standout picking up his third straight victory and by an impressive 8 lengths.  The rest of the turf routers are going to have to step up their game to compete with this one.

The dirt sprints are always one of the most exciting races to watch and Beast From Hamburg proved her worth as a worth daughter of Ozark Pete.  A resounding 4 length victory over another nice horse in Kings Knight.  This division should continue to thrill as some of the other competitors improve.

Blazing Fire surging to victory

Blazing Fire came with a furious late rally to beat Blowpipe by a nose in the dirt mile.  This division is one of my favorites to follow because there are so many quality homebreds that find themselves in the mix.

We would be remiss if we left off one of the more competitive races which was the turf sprint where Quality Hat, a son of the legendary Top Hat, pulled ahead late for a victory.  He narrowly edged two really good looking horses in Archies Insides and Excuse Din.

We are seeing the rise to prominence of a few new stables in the championship circuit and look forward to continued competitiveness from all.  See you at the track!

We are about to complete the first season where every race is FREE to enter.  We have seen an increase in the number of horses entered into races and competition.  Beginning this season we will issue end of season awards for trainers and horses alike.

Trainer Awards

Trainer of the year

True Blue Stable ...

is the leading stable with $1,218 in wins this season.  He has put forth a tremendous effort winning maidens and open company races at a 13% clip.  In addition he has had success in all three age groups, proving that it's no fluke.  Congratulations are in order for this success and you can expect a number of stables to again be vying for this title.

Newcomer of the year

American Pharoah Stables  ...

has come on the scene in a big way.  He has 19 wins from 69 starts for an astounding 27% win rate.  Look for big things from this stable who has clearly been blessed with talented horses to go with their training skills.

Breeder of the year

 Anfield Road ...

takes the award for the top breeder this season with 18% of them winning and The Liverpool Way leading the way to the victory circle.

Breakout trainer of the year

King of Thrones  ...

is not exactly new to the game but has had a breakout season with a number of qualifier wins.  He has a number of outstanding horses including Pope's Angel a filly by Fallen Angel out of Pope Alexander.

Horse Awards

Horse of the year

Bull Diamond ...

is the unquestioned horse of the year with Blessings being retired.  This six year old horse is a perfect 7 for 7 including the Champions Cup title for senior turf sprint.

Juvenile of the year

 Sherlock Holmes ...

from Black Cat Racing brings home the title this year.  This horse has 4 wins from 6 starts and has never been worse than second.  After starting his career with 4 wins from 4 starts, he has cooled off in the difficult qualifiers but one has to wonder if this is intentional.

Sire of the year

Pope Alexander ...

is once again on top of the standings at the end of the season with his foals averaging over $100 in earnings each!  This makes the $15 stud fee seem an absolute bargain.

This guide comes from one of our veteran players who has identified a need for more and improved documentation to help new stables get their footing.  Please use this in conjunction with the existing new player guide and FAQ.

--All Shook Up

The way I see it is any new player wishing to start off with 15 brand new horses freshly born would have to deposit $70 or app. £49 and if they wanted to stay at 15 horses for a season or two to get well up about the game that would be their only outlay.I think nowadays that is peanut money and well worth depositing to get involved in a fantastic horse racing game.

Even an older player returning would need to deposit just $80 or app. £57 to get a 15 horse stable going.Based on the fact they wont get the first 2 free horses and have no horses to start.

Lets start with the new player:DEPOSIT $70 AND GET 100 BONUS CREDITS.

You get one free horse plus a token for your second free horse so that gives you 2 horses even before you deposit.
To use your token go to SALES RING and click on 1 horse and then click on token and select 1 then buy.
My advice is do not run your original horse in a player trial,it may win and not then be able to run in maidens.
Although if you are reading this you most likely have already done that, never mind lets hope it lost!!

Then buy 10 new horses,  I would suggest getting 2 yo (year old) for all your horses,  for those 10 you get two more free ones, you now have 14 horses.

Buy one more to make 15 in your stable.

You have only paid for 11 of those horses and paid out $55 plus 55 of your 100 bonus credits.

That leaves you $15 to pay your first month subs and 45 bonus credits to spend on extra trains or adds or premium membership.

If each of those 15 horses can earn just $1 a month, the same as one 3rd place or a couple of 4th places,it pays for the next subscription payment,so in theory you do not need to deposit again.

Even very average horses can earn that and chances are at least 3 or 4 of the 15 horses can earn a lot more.

The Older Player:DEPOSIT $80 AND GET 100 BONUS CREDITS--ALL DEPOSITS GET THIS NOT JUST NEW PLAYER OR FIRST DEPOSIT,ALL DEPOSITS.

Then buy 10 horses and get 2 free to make 12 and then buy 3 more,so you pay for 13--$65 plus 65 bonus credits.
That leaves $15 for subs and a few credits left for other things.
Then as above you need minor winnings per horse per month and no other deposits.

Of course you can deposit more and have more horses, but you do not have to.  Even if you have a bigger budget and have 100 horses to start,I see no reason why each horse cannot earn half a dollar to pay the subs each month.Once that first deposit is done you should be away and flying and experiencing a great game for peanut money.
